Are PPC and PTC the same?

I have been into digital marketing for more than a decade now, but when I started my own setup a couple of years back, the internet what filled with marketing terminologies that went above my head. I used to swap one term for the other and sometimes what I thought was completely opposite from what it actually meant. This was when I decided to blog for those marketers similar to me and who had a tough time figuring out stuff from a plethora of content which was all high-level content, nothing was explained in simple language for average people like me. PPC and PTC are two terms that always get shuffled. The fact is they are two completely different things yet related to advertising. Pay per click as the name suggests, it is a metric used to measure the amount to be paid if some user clicks your content while Paid to click is a completely different model which allows a user to earn some money for clicking a content. Every technical student only talked of computers and chips which are now replaced with bots and AI. People are more virtually connected than physical contact, thanks to the pandemic and the internet.  Traveling is more of a visual thing and dressing up is more for Instagram these days. People's opinions matter through a number of likes and shares. The more followers you have the more you are known to be a good person. People who shied away from being clicked now all own a phone with dual cameras. Every occasion is captured through a click and every food ordered or cooked needs to be remembered. Within cultures, such that of India, where home-cooked food would be offered first to the deity, is now offered first to the smartphone. People who stayed overseas are now a video call away.
